Soldiers of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine entered the Russian-occupied village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.

To protect the lives and health of civilians, Ukrainian soldiers evacuated local residents.

The evacuation of civilians was carried out with the help of American Bradley IFVs.

The Ukrainian military published a video of civilians being evacuated from a settlement that is constantly under Russian shelling.

“Two months of fierce fighting and the soldiers of our brigade, supported by other units, broke through the invaders’ multi-layered defense line,” the 47th Brigade emphasized.

The servicemen’s first move was to inform the locals about the need to leave immediately, as the Russians continue to bombard the village with artillery.

“We waited for the Armed Forces of Ukraine for a year and a half. We packed our things and documents and ran, throwing away those packages on the way, because life is the most valuable thing. And then the guys from the 47th Brigade took us away in a tank,” is how people described the American Bradley IFV.

Later, in a safer place, medics of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces examined the civilians and gave them the opportunity to call their families.

On the morning of August 22, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces were continuing their offensive. They are making progress in the Melitopol direction: “In the direction of Robotyne, we have succeeded, consolidating on the achieved lines, inflicting artillery fire on the identified enemy targets, and carrying out counter-battery measures,” the morning report said.

As previously reported, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have started clearing the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region from the invaders. In particular, American Bradley infantry fighting vehicles were involved in this combat operation.

In general, in this area, fighting is ongoing for every piece of land, and the invaders are using all available weapons. They are shelling from artillery, using aerial bombs, and kamikaze drones.
