Soldiers of the 42nd Mechanized Brigade inflict heavy losses on the invaders near the village of Starytsia in the Kharkiv region.

On the morning of June 2, the Russians launched a massive assault to capture Ukrainian positions near the border village of Starytsia.

Thanks to the coordinated actions of the brigade’s units, the enemy suffered heavy losses but did not stop the offensive.

The Brigade has confirmation that 20 Russian infantrymen were killed and 21 more wounded.

It is also reported that the enemy lost three T-62 tanks, and another was damaged.

In addition, one infantry fighting vehicle, one 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled gun and two vehicles were destroyed.

Hostilities in the Kharkiv region

Militarnyi recently reported that in the Kharkiv region, Ukrainian marines destroyed engineering equipment used by the invaders to create new defensive positions.

At the time, the marines spotted Russian special equipment digging new positions 5 kilometers from the combat line.

On May 28, it was reported that the Ukrainian military managed to hold their position under the attacks of Russian bombs.

The Ukrainian military managed to survive. Several soldiers dug themselves out of trenches completely covered with soil.

After this strike, a Russian assault group went to storm the position under the guidance of a drone. They were supported from above by a drone that dropped grenades.

The Ukrainian military managed to stop the Russian advance and killed five Russian assault servicemen in the battle.
