Skyeton, a Ukrainian reconnaissance system developer, has presented the Remora guided munition for the Raybird drone and new optoelectronic systems.

The company provided details of the presentation from the XPONENTIAL Europe exhibition in Düsseldorf specifically for Militarnyi.

Along with its main product, the Raybird unmanned aerial vehicle, the company demonstrated at the exhibition suspended payload modules, including a strike module for the Remora corrected munition.

“Remora is a new generation guided munition. It is designed to expand the combat capabilities of small UAVs. This is the world’s first solution for tactical drones weighing up to 25 kg, which allows delivering ammunition deep behind enemy lines,” Roman Kniazhenko, CEO of Skyeton, shared.

Thanks to a target acquisition system, Remora can be guided in fully automatic or manual mode.

The technical characteristics of the munition are as follows:

  • Warhead: high explosive or high-explosive fragmentation;
  • Weight of the warhead: 1.5 – 2.5 kg;
  • Speed after discharge: 140 km/h;
  • Targeting system: target acquisition and terminal homing.

According to the developers, the new munition will allow the drone to inflict precise damage without being detected by enemy detection equipment.

At the request of Militarnyi, the company refused to comment on the degree of readiness of the project and detailed parameters, such as the range. At the same time, the published photos show that since September 2024, the project has come a long way, having undergone significant design changes.

At last year’s exhibition in Poland, Skyeton representatives reported that their aerial munition weighed 3.5 kg. With the strike module, the Raybird could deliver it up to 150 kilometers away.

Another novelty presented at the exhibition was the GLE-6 and GLE-7 line of optoelectronic systems from Gyrolab Electronics (Skyeton Holding). The ergonomics of these systems are optimized for use in difficult and stressful conditions.

The GLE series has three components: an electro-optical sensor, an infrared sensor (MWIR), and a laser rangefinder. Key features of the pendants:

  • Video is always recorded and transmitted from all cameras;
  • Supports separate bitrates for recording and online streaming;
  • Automatic bitrate adjustment and distribution between cameras;
  • Video recording to a MicroSD card for quick access;
  • Energy buffer for the safe completion of video recording;
  • Telemetry processing and display;

The Ukrainian Defense Forces actively use Skyeton unmanned aerial systems. The company is constantly working to improve its products to provide the Ukrainian army with convenient and effective tools for the defense of our country.
