Skala Regiment Destroyed Several Subversive Reconnaissance Groups in Pokrovsk and Took Prisoners

The Ukrainian command has reinforced the Pokrovsk sector with the 425th Separate Assault Regiment Skala.

The unit reported that at the end of July, the regiment’s soldiers helped drive out a group of Russian invaders that had broken through to the city of Pokrovsk.

During the battles, the Ukrainian military eliminated dozens of invaders and captured four of them.

According to the prisoners, about 50 Russian soldiers were sent to storm Pokrovsk. However, most of them were knocked out by Ukrainian artillery and attack drones.

Only small groups of the enemy – 7-8 people each – were able to enter the city and dispersed into residential buildings.

Skala’s fighters were sent to destroy the enemy in the city and successfully accomplished their task.

Three soldiers from the 30th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Federation and one from the 110th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade were captured.

“The assault groups cut off the enemy’s escape routes, surrounded and eliminated them, and captured the leader of the most active group alive. Three more invaders were discovered and captured during the clearing of the town,” the regiment said.

According to the military, the operation was carried out quickly and smoothly. All actions were coordinated using drones.

Pokrovsk is one of the key settlements in the Donetsk region, and its importance in the war is hard to overestimate.

It is an important transportation hub, with railways and highways connecting the rear areas with the frontline. Control over Pokrovsk provides for the effective supply of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with ammunition, equipment and food in the area.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that over the past 24 hours, Russian invaders had made 29 attempts to push Ukrainians from their positions in the Pokrovsk sector.

The other day, the 1st Azov Corps captured 8 invaders after entering the Pokrovsk sector.
