The enemy continues to strike the Sumy Region from their own territory.
This time invaders have shelled Seredyna-Buda town.
The Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Dmytro Zhyvytskyi confirmed the June 7 overnight shelling.
“The shelling started at about 05:00 a.m., seven mortar projectiles were followed by artillery fire,” he said.
According to preliminary information from the Operational Command “North”, the village was shelled with 120 mm mortars and self-propelled artillery.
At least six detached houses, an outbuilding, and a garage were damaged. A few fires broke out.
A power transmission line was also damaged. Detailed information on the destruction is being clarified.
According to the preliminary data, there are no civilian casualties.
The night before, on June 6, Russian troops fired mortars at the Velyka Pysarivka community 6 times. 17 strikes were recorded in the Khotin community.
Another 17 explosions were recorded in the Vorozhba community.
The invaders continue to strike at Ukrainian border regions of Sumy and Chernihiv. Russian troops strike from their own territory, using various types of weapons.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that there are no signs of new strike groups in the Siverskyi direction. The enemy keeps up to three battalion tactical groups in the border areas of Bryansk and Kursk regions to restrain Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
