The Shark unmanned aerial system of the Ukrainian company Ukrspecsystems has received an upgrade that increases its communication radius by 20 kilometers.

The company’s press service reported on this.

“The crew can be at a safe distance from the front line and carry out reconnaissance of the battlefield – to collect information about the movement of the enemy at a long distance and in hidden areas,” the developers said.

Shark drones are actively used by the Defense Forces of Ukraine for artillery adjustment and terrain reconnaissance.

Militarnyi reported that with the help of the Shark UAS, soldiers of the 15th Separate Artillery Reconnaissance Brigade discovered elements of the enemy Buk surface-to-air missile system, which were later destroyed.

In addition, the Ukrainian company Ukrspecsystems revealed the new MINI SHARK UAS specifications.

Now the drone has a range of 80 kilometers, before the system was upgraded, the radius was 60 kilometers.

The flight range of the drone is 300 kilometers, and the duration is up to four hours.

The maximum speed of the drone reaches 130 kilometers per hour, the cruising speed reaches 75 kilometers per hour, the minimum flight speed is 60 kilometers per hour.

The maximum height to which the Shark can climb does not exceed three kilometers.

The launch takes place with the help of a catapult, and the landing with the help of a parachute.

The Shark UAS consists of three UAVs, a launcher, a control station and a communication station.
