On the morning of July 11, Shahed-like drones carried out a large-scale attack on Russian defense industry facilities in Tula.

The news was reported by Astra, with videos from local residents also circulating online.

According to the report, explosions were heard in the Proletarsky district, home to the three largest Russian defense enterprises.

The facilities targeted include JSC KBP Instrument Design Bureau, which specializes in developing precision-guided weapons; the JSC NPO Splav, a manufacturer of multiple launch rocket systems; and Joint-Stock Company Shcheglovsky Val, one of Russia’s largest defense industry enterprises, producing guided weapons for ground forces, air defense systems, and small arms.

These facilities of the aggressor country were previously targeted earlier this year by Ukrainian strike drones.

The governor of the Tula region stated that Russian air defense had reportedly shot down 13 drones over the area.

At present, there is no information about the consequences of the morning drone attack. However, it should be noted that this is not the first time Shahed-like drones have targeted key facilities in Russia.

A week ago, similar drones targeted the Optical-Mechanical Plant in the city of Azov, the Rostov region.
