Ukraine received missile systems from the UK. They are effective in urban combat. These weapons destroy the tank at a distance of up to 800 meters and punches the armor with a thickness of more than 500 millimeters.

Recall that the Next Generation Light Anti-tank Weapon anti-tank complexes handed over by the UK on January 28 were tested in Ukraine on the basis of the 184th Training Center.

NLAW

Swedish Saab AB Group in collaboration with the British branch of the Thales Group developed the NLAW (Next Generation Light Anti-tank Weapon) system for the purpose and funding of the British Ministry of Defence.

The NLAW is a manual disposable anti-tank vehicle with a combat range of 600 (new version up to 800) meters and weighs 12.5 kilograms.

Before starting, the gunner uses a sight for three seconds to track the angular velocity of the target.

The target is remembered by an inertial missile block, which during flight makes the necessary adjustments, adjusting the direction of motion.

The UK handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine a number of weapons, including NLAW anti-tank systems, after Defense Minister Ben Wallace announced during a parliamentary hearing that London would supply Ukraine with light anti-tank defensive weapons.
