Five Senator armored vehicles were converted into command post vehicles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the help of volunteers.

The Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation helped the military with this modification.

The command post vehicles were delivered to the Command of the Communications and Cyber Security of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The foundation said that a year ago, they began to equip mobile command posts based on various vehicles (trucks, armored vehicles, MRAPs, etc.).

Up to 6 workstations for operators can be equipped in the vehicle body or combat compartment.

During this time, thanks to the support of those who care about various units of Ukrainian Defense Forces, the Foundation has prepared and delivered 165 command post vehicles and 43 armored vehicles equipped with communications. In November alone, UAH 2 million was spent on this sector.

The Foundation purchases materials and technical equipment and pays for the work of the team that converts vehicles into command post vehicles.

The recently transferred command post vehicles are based on the Senator armored vehicle. These vehicles are manufactured by Roshel Smart Armored Vehicles, a Canadian company that has contracts for suppling vehicles to Ukraine.

The Senator armored vehicle has a steel body and bulletproof glass that can withstand small arms fire. Its body is also explosion-proof, so it can withstand a grenade or mine explosions.

This year, Roshel presented a new version of the Senator armored vehicle in the MRAP variant at the CANSEC exhibition in Ottawa. The Ukrainian servicemen are already receiving such vehicles.

It is designed to accommodate up to 10 military personnel and provides a high level of protection against explosive devices and ambushes, ensuring safety of the crew.

The protection of an armored vehicle must withstand shelling with bullets of caliber up to 7.62×39 mm at a distance of 30 meters, as well as blowing up 6 kg of explosives (anti-tank mine) under any wheel or under the bottom of the vehicle.
