The government of Serbia has agreed to supply arms to Ukraine or has sent them already, although it has refused to sanction Russia due to the Russian-Ukrainian war.

This is stated in one of the Pentagon documents made public online, Reuters reports.

This document is a summary of European governments’ responses to Ukraine’s requests for military training and lethal weapons.

Entitled “Europe|Response to Ongoing Russia-Ukraine Conflict,” the document in chart form lists the “assessed positions” of 38 European governments in response to Ukraine’s requests for military assistance.

The chart showed that Serbia declined to provide training to Ukrainian forces but had committed to sending lethal aid or had supplied it already. It also mentioned that Serbia has the political will and military ability to provide weapons to Ukraine in the future.

Reuters has not yet been able to confirm or deny this information.

At the beginning of March, it was reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are using new Serbian ER Grad 2000 122mm rockets.

The Ukraine Weapons Tracker OSINT channel analysts released the photo. Rockets were spotted in Ukraine a few months ago, but for security reasons, this information was not published by the media.

It is stated that the Canadian JNJ Export & Import company purchased the ammunition from the Serbian Krušik enterprise. Containers with ammunition were transported from Serbia to Turkey by Arca Savunma Sanayi Ticaret. From Turkey, the missiles were delivered through Slovakia to Ukraine.

The missiles are designed to be used with Soviet-type multiple rocket launchers such as the BM-21 Grad, Czechoslovak RM-70, and Ukrainian Verba.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić denied the sale of ammunition to Kyiv. He later announced that the country cannot control the re-export of Serbian-made weapons.

Vučić emphasized that the country is economically dependent on the sale of arms.

Previously, it was reported that the released documents contain information showing that the Wagner PMC mercenaries tried to purchase weapons in Turkey.

The investigation into the leak of Pentagon documents is ongoing in the United States.
