Operators of unmanned systems of the Alpha Group use RAM S loitering munition.
Journalist Karina Piliuhina published a photo of the drone on her social networks.
The drone is a further development of the RAM II loitering munition. It has received a number of updates, including a new fuselage from an earlier model of the Shark reconnaissance drone with specially shaped wings.
The photo shows the process of installing a warhead in the UAV body before launching it. The explosive device is partially visible in the operator’s hand.
Like the original drone, the RAM S drone is launched from an electric catapult. It is not known whether the drone has the ability to return and land.
The drone’s control station is also similar to those used to control a reconnaissance aircraft.
One of the photos shows the system’s software interface, showing the drone approaching the target from a distance of 2000 meters.
The reticle is slightly different from the one used in Shark drones.
Ukrainian troops have long used strike unmanned aerial vehicles to engage important targets on the battlefield and behind enemy lines.
In June of this year, drones of the Security Service of Ukraine hit the TOR-M2, Pantsir-S1, and BUK systems of the Russian invaders.
The use of these particular drones in the video can be verified by the characteristic interface from the control panel of the UAV and the appearance of a drone in one of the frames.
According to the footage, the attack drone works in cooperation with the Shark reconnaissance drone, which performs tasks of searching for and objectively monitoring targets.
