The second plane with military aid for the Ukrainian army from Canada arrived in Ukraine.
The Militarnyi, citing the Minister of National Defense of Canada Anita Anand, reports it.
This is the second plane in February to arrive with weapons on board for Ukraine, and the third to arrive with military assistance.
Anand stressed that further Russian invasion of a sovereign state is unacceptable.
“Canada will continue to stand by Ukraine as the country defends its sovereignty and independence,” the minister assured.
The Canadian government, which has always supported Ukraine in the war with Russia, has delayed providing lethal weapons to Kyiv.
Active reporting by Western media about the increase in Russian troops has forced many governments to quickly decide to support Ukraine with lethal weapons.
Canada will provide a C$7.8 million ($6.1 million) worth of lethal equipment and ammunition to Ukraine in addition to a financial loan of C$500 million ($393 million), Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on February 15, 2022.
On February 19, the Royal Canadian Air Force military aircraft delivered light infantry weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Canada handed over to Ukraine sniper rifles, automatic rifles, machine guns with optical sights, pistols.
In addition, Ukraine has received night vision devices, surveillance devices and military equipment.
The first aircraft from Canada with a cargo of non-lethal military aid arrived in early February.
