Recent satellite images show active expansion of logistics capabilities at the airfield in Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Krasnodar region.
A comparative analysis of data from the Telegram channel “Strategic Aviation of the Russian Federation” for October 2025 and January 2026 shows that the Russians are significantly increasing their capabilities for storing and preparing strike drones at this launch site.
As of October 18, 2025, the facility’s infrastructure appeared less extensive. At that time, there were 24 garages on the territory designed for storing UAVs. Each of these garages had a capacity for only two drones, which limited the simultaneous preparation of a large number of aircraft for launch.
As of January 29, 2026, the Russians had not only completed new facilities, but also modernized the old ones. They expanded at least eight existing garages, increasing their capacity from two to five aircraft, and built three new ones. Now there are 16 standard garages (for 2 drones) and 17 expanded garages (for 5 drones) in operation at the site. In addition, 10 more large garages are under construction.
Despite a significant increase in storage space, the satellite detects some drones in the open air. They are not in hangars or new garages. Most likely, these are aircraft being prepared for combat use and moved closer to launch sites for attacks on Ukraine.
The technical equipment of the launch area itself remains unchanged compared to the previous analysis. As before, eight stationary launchers have been identified in the area.
According to estimates, more than 100 strike drones can be located here and be ready for launch during a single attack. This figure is approximate and does not take into account possible reserves of drones hidden in large aircraft hangars on the territory of the airfield.
