Satellite images of the Saratov oil refinery, which was attacked by Ukrainian drones on the night of January 13-14, have emerged.
The Schemes project published the relevant photos as of January 14.
It is reported that at least one tank was destroyed as a result of the attack.
This oil refinery is located near Rosrezerv’s Kristall plant in Engels, a neighboring town that was attacked at the same time.
The KiberBoroshno OSINT project details that seven tanks were destroyed at the Kristall plant, one has burning marks, and the condition of six more cannot be determined due to smoke.
It is reported that the operation was carried out by operators of the 14th Regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time that the Kristall oil depot has been attacked.
The previous attack on this aviation fuel storage facility took place on January 8, and only on January 13 did the Russians manage to extinguish the fire on its territory.
The oil storage facility is located about 8 kilometers from the Engels-2 military air base.
On its territory, 46 tanks store petroleum products, including aviation fuel used for Russian Tu-95MS and Tu-160 strategic bombers.
On January 14, it was also reported that drones attacked the city of Kazan in the Republic of Tatarstan.
The attack took place on the territory of the Kustovaya aviation fuel storage facility, which belongs to Gazprom.
