At least two storage tanks were completely destroyed at an oil depot in the city of Livny in Russia’s Oryol region following a Ukrainian drone strike on December 2.

This is confirmed by satellite images from Planet Labs, taken on December 6 and published by Radio Liberty.

The images show that two large tanks, each with a capacity of 2,000 m³, were entirely burned out – only their metal frameworks remain.

Several other storage tanks also show signs of damage and heat exposure.

The strike on the Orelnefteprodukt oil depot in the city of Livny took place on December 2, 2025. A massive fire broke out at the facility as a result of the drone’s precise impact.

On January 24, 2025, the same oil depot had already been targeted by drones.

The company that owns the facility is engaged in the storage, wholesale, and retail sale of petroleum products in the region.
