Satellite images have confirmed that four launchers and two key radars of the S-400 system in Novorossiysk were destroyed, rendering the entire system inoperative.

RBC-Ukraine published the images of the damaged site.

According to the outlet, which cited its own sources, the air-defense system protecting Novorossiysk was struck by drones operated by the Security Service of Ukraine.

According to the analytical community CyberBoroshnо, the strike was carried out by FP-1 attack drones equipped with video cameras.

The outlet states that satellite images confirm the destruction of four S-400 Triumf launchers. They were located on the grounds of a military unit belonging to the Kuban Red Banner Regiment.

It is worth noting that a satellite image from November 11 – two days before the strike – showed seven S-400 launchers positioned at the site. Two of them were likely decoys. After the strike, three launchers remained at the position, likely damaged, one of which appears to be a decoy. However, the image quality does not allow this to be determined with complete certainty.

Two important radars were also destroyed – the 96L6 early-warning radar and the 92N6 target-acquisition radar.

The 92N6 multifunctional radar provides target illumination for the missiles and is the most critical component of the system. Therefore, the destruction of this element completely disables the entire system.

According to sources, approximately 12 S-400 Triumf launchers were positioned within the military unit’s grounds. There is a high likelihood that they were also damaged in the attack.

During the night of November 13–14, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Sheskharis oil terminal in Novorossiysk and a Russian air-defense base located at the military unit of the 1537th Kuban Red Banner Air Defense Regiment.

Local residents recorded a powerful explosion and a column of fire and smoke rising from the location of the anti-aircraft missile regiment.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the strikes on targets in Novorossiysk were carried out using Neptun cruise missiles and various types of strike UAVs.
