Schemes project journalists published satellite images of the destroyed Russian aviation ordnance depot on the outskirts of Lipetsk.
Images show the aftermath of the destruction of an aviation ordnance depot.
According to the images, the buildings that were used as warehouses for the ammunition, were completely destroyed as a result of the detonation.
Two craters can also be seen on the ground near the warehouse, which may be the result of missiles or drones hitting the site, or ammunition scattering as a result of the detonation.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially confirmed the damage to the depot on the night of August 8-9, noting that in addition to the depot, a number of other facilities near the airport were targeted.
It is known that Su-34, Su-35 and MiG-31 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces are based at the airfield.
Local authorities declared a state of emergency in the Lipetsk municipal district and began evacuating residents of settlements located near the air base.
According to the governor, more than 400 houses were evacuated. Temporary accommodation centers have been set up.
In addition, the General Staff reported that the units struck at Russian anti-aircraft missile batteries in the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region.
In particular, they targeted three enemy radars: two from S-350 systems and one from S-300. The General Staff claims an accurate hit and the destruction of one S-350 radar.
Information on the other two targets is currently being clarified. At the same time, all three enemy radars stopped working after the strikes.
Units of the Missile Forces, the Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were involved in the operation.
