European company Destinus, which developed the Ruta missile, presented two versions of its Deep Strike attack drone — Lord 1 and Lord 2.
The long-range drones were demonstrated at the World Defense Show, Militarnyi’s correspondent reported from the event.
Deep Strike drones are designed for long-range missions that strike targets deep inside enemy territory.
The Lord drone has a range of more than 1,000 kilometers and can carry a warhead weighing 40-100 kg.
Preparation for launch takes about 15 minutes.
The Lord is equipped with a piston engine and a fully automated control, navigation, and guidance system.
The drone is capable of long-range flights at ultra-low altitudes over enemy territory, including in conditions where GNSS (satellite navigation) signals are suppressed.
The developer also proposes using the drone as a target, a bomber, or a cargo transport platform.
Versions 1 and 2 differ in minor design features.
It cannot be ruled out that these drones could be used in hostilities in Ukraine. Destinus is known for supplying Ukraine with Ruta missiles.
The company recently introduced the second-generation Ruta cruise missile.
The new modification, called Ruta Block 2, appears at first glance to have significant differences from its predecessor.
