The Russian invaders tried to break through the defense of the 110th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk region for six hours.
The video of the destruction of the invaders’ equipment and infantry was posted on the Telegram channel of this brigade’s unmanned systems battalion.
To neutralize the enemy, Ukrainian defenders used FPV drones and artillery systems.
The 110th Brigade said that the Russians had sent a convoy of armored vehicles to attack, with a ‘barn’ tank with a mine trawl in front of it.
After aerial reconnaissance detected the enemy’s movements, drone operators began to work on the vehicles. First, an MT-LB was destroyed, the infantry from which managed to disembark after the first FPV strike.
Next, an immobilized BMP-1 was hit, and the footage shows a fire. After that, the Ukrainian drones burned a Russian BTR-82A, which the invaders had abandoned near the road.
Then, the FPV drone operators began destroying a Russian ‘barn’ tank that was also immobilized and abandoned by the invaders. After several hits, it caught fire from the inside.
After that, work began on destroying the enemy infantry, which had managed to scatter across the ruins of the settlement.
In addition to drones, Ukrainian artillery fired cluster munitions at the invaders.
The Ukrainians hit the trenches, buildings, and basements where the Russian troops were located, and the drone operators also hunted down individual invaders who were still alive after previous strikes.
At the same time as the unmanned systems battalion, the 110th Mechanized Brigade’s press service released a video of the brigade fighting off a Russian assault near Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region.
Both videos may capture the repulsion of the same hours-long assault by the invaders on the brigade’s and adjacent units’ positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in this area of the front line.
