The Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a launcher of the Russian Buk-M2 SAM system.

A photo of the damaged vehicle was published on the Dosye shpiona Telegram channel.

It is reported that the destroyed 9A317M self-propelled launcher had belonged to one of the units of the 58th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation.

According to invaders, a UAV of the Ukrainian defense was used to destroy the vehicle. The launcher was destroyed on the outskirts of Robotyne in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region.

The Telegram channel added that only recently the units of the Russian invasion army had lost several air defense systems in this area.

In particular, as reported, the following were destroyed:

• two Buk-M2 and Buk-M3 launchers;
• 9A316M TEL;
• 9S36 fire-control radar of the Buk SAM system.

This is confirmed by videos from Ukrainian defenders published in recent weeks, which showed various vehicles of Russian air defense systems having been hit, particularly in the Zaporizhzhia region.

In March, Special Operations Forces soldiers helped destroy a launcher of the Russian Buk air defense system by firing at it from an M142 HIMARS rocket system.

The Russian air defense system was discovered near the occupied village of Foroys in the Zaporizhzhia region. Also, the Ukrainian military destroyed the Russian 9S36(M) fire-control radar.

This mobile radar is part of Russia’s modern Buk-M2 and Buk-M3 air defense systems.

In addition, another Buk SAM of Russian invaders was destroyed in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Previously, the Security Service of Ukraine effectively deployed drones equipped with target auto-acquisition capabilities against the invaders’ air defense systems, including the Buk SAM.
