The Russian command sent a large armored convoy to capture Chasiv Yar.

The 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade said they had spotted more than two dozen vehicles.

The assault on the Ukrainian positions began in the morning of March 6.

“More than two dozen pieces of equipment, including airborne armored infantry fighting vehicles, moved one by one towards the positions of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo,” the military said.

From the beginning of the offensive, the Russian convoy was constantly tracked by Ukrainian reconnaissance drones. The convoy was immediately shelled by artillery and hit by drones.

“They were greeted ‘warmly’: infantry, artillery and drone crews did everything to make the invaders’ journey unforgettable,” the brigade said.

As a result, Russian vehicles got stuck in one single place. The snarl of damaged vehicles blocked the crossing of the canal.

“The survivors reversed, but not everyone managed to escape,” the military said.

The Russian infantry that had disembarked from the vehicles tried to hide in houses, but were eliminated by drones.

At least 14 vehicles were burned or left on the battlefield. Preliminary estimates of enemy losses in manpower amount to at least 33 soldiers killed and wounded.

The Russian army is deploying its entire arsenal of weapons and military units, but the invaders are unable to completely capture the city. Currently, Russian troops are changing their tactics. Previously, they attacked with small groups of infantry, but now they are using bad weather conditions and poor visibility to accumulate equipment.
