The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue striking logistical centers important for the invaders in the South of Ukraine.
First of all, this pertains to the crossings across the Dnipro River, the destruction of which disrupts the connection between Russian connections on both sides of the river.
Such conclusions are made by the Institute for the Study of War, which reported this in its summary of the situation in Ukraine.
As previously reported, the day before, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the bridge in the area of the Kakhovka Hydro Power Plant.
Such actions by Ukraine disrupt Russian ground lines of communication (GLOCs), which prevents the Russian army from supporting large-scale mechanized operations.
In addition, experts note that bringing ammunition, fuel, and heavy equipment sufficient for offensive or even large-scale defensive operations across pontoon ferries or by air is impractical, if not impossible. Here it is taken into account that the invaders can use pontoons, ferries, or air crossings.
ISW noted that “if Ukrainian forces have disrupted all three bridges and can prevent the Russians from restoring any of them to usability for a protracted period, then Russian forces on the west bank of the Dnipro will likely lose the ability to defend themselves against even limited Ukrainian counterattacks”.
The Institute for the Study of War noted the signs of deterioration in the supplies of the invasion army, associated with the disruption of ground communication lines:
As previously reported, on September 13, an explosion took place once again in Nova Kakhovka.
The adviser to the head of the Kherson Military Administration, Serhiy Khlan, said that the Russian invaders had arrived in the city.
“Kherson Region. Strike on Russian positions in Novaya Kakhovka. A column of smoke can be seen above the city. We continue to burn Russians,” Khlan wrote.
Locals on social networks released a video capturing the sounds of a secondary detonation that can be heard.
The shell allegedly hit an electromechanical plant where the Russians stored ammunition.
