The Russian army has brought in reserves from the 76th Guards Air Assault Division for the attack on Pokrovsk.

The 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces reported on this.

The paratroopers provided an update on the situation around and inside the city as of 10:00 a.m. on November 21.

According to their information, the Defense Forces are holding key positions in the northern part of Pokrovsk and control positions south of the railway, which are crucial for the further deoccupation of the city.

Meanwhile, the Russians are attempting to cross the railway to expand the occupied area of the city, but these efforts are being blocked by Ukrainian defenders.

“The enemy forces in Pokrovsk are wearing down. As a result, the enemy is forced to replenish personnel losses. The Russian command has already deployed the operational reserve of the Eastern Military District ‘Center’ to our area of responsibility – units from the 76th Guards Air Assault Division of the Russian Federation,” stated the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces.

To counter the further advance of Russian invaders and carry out clean-up operations in Pokrovsk, the Ukrainian command is strengthening its own forces, including increasing the number of UAV crews.

“One of the key tasks of our defenders remains the complete blockade of the enemy’s logistics routes to the city, including the use of tactical and army aviation,” the report states.

Additionally, small enemy groups attempted to infiltrate into Hryshyne, located to the northwest of Pokrovsk. However, the Ukrainian military promptly detected and eliminated the enemy.

According to military sources, the clean-up of enemy infantry on the northern outskirts of Myrnohrad is nearing completion. Additional resources are being deployed to detect and eliminate Russian occupiers, whose movements have been spotted in the southern part of the city.

As of today, Pokrovsk remains one of the toughest fronts, where fierce battles are ongoing.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the past 24 hours from November 20 to 21 there were 59 combat engagements in the areas of several settlements along the Pokrovsk sector.
