An assault group of Russians and North Korean soldiers on ATVs attacked the Sumy region’s border area.
The press service of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released a video of the liquidation of the invaders.
Judging by the footage, Ukrainian defenders used mainly FPV drones and UAVs with dropped bombs to destroy the equipment and the invaders themselves.
Some invaders who survived or were wounded and tried to hide or escape were also killed by drones.
A source from the 36th Marine Brigade told Ukrayinska Pravda that the invaders performed assault operations between Sverdlikovo (Kursk region, Russia) and Novenke in the Sumy region.
During the day, the enemy lost eight soldiers killed and 26 wounded. The marines also destroyed seven invader ATVs.
The footage from the drone’s camera showing the location of the invaders was released yesterday.
Analysts from the Dnipro OSINT group ⟨Pumpkin⟩ discovered that Russians and DPRK soldiers were spotted near Basivka in the Sumy region. The settlement is located 30 km from the regional center.
Earlier, Colonel Andriy Demchenko, spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, stated that Russian troops are trying to break through the border of the Sumy region near the settlements of Novenke and Zhuravka, but the Ukrainian Defense Forces are destroying their assault groups.
He also shared that the enemy continues to use small assault groups to enter Ukrainian territory.
The spokesperson noted that the main task of enemy assault aircraft is to enter Ukrainian territory as far as possible, accumulate, and then, when they have the strength, expand the combat zone on our territory.
Recently, Ukrainian aviation struck a concentration of Russian infantry in the village of Tiotkino in the Kursk region.
