The wreckage of a downed Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber was found in the area of the liberated city of Lyman.
Journalist Oleksiy Kashporovsky released photos of the Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft.
“Wreckage of Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber, Lyman. Unfortunately, no one knows when and where exactly it was shot down,” Oleksiy Kashporovsky said.
The number RF-81852 (09 red) remained on the debris of the downed Russian aircraft in the Donetsk region.
Due to the presence of the AKU-58A launcher pylon, the aircraft was armed with air-to-ground guided missiles (Kh-29/-31/-58/-59).
As previously reported, September 24, 2022, became a new “bad day” for the Russian Aerospace Forces.
On this day, the Russian army confirmed the loss of a number of attack aircraft, including the Su-34.
Su-34 is a strike aircraft, produced by the Sukhoi Design Bureau.
The development of this aircraft started back in the 1980s.
Aircraft is designed to carry out precise missile and bomb strikes on enemy ground targets in operational and tactical depth.
In Russia, according to its combat capabilities, the Su-34 belongs to the conditional generation “4++”.
The capabilities of the aircraft allow to carry out the main combat tasks without counterair support.
