A Ukrainian reconnaissance drone detected a Russian invader who was trying to surrender and led him to the positions of the Ukrainian military.
The video of the detention was posted online.
The detected Russian invader completely disarmed and undressed himself in front of the Mavic 3 drone that was monitoring the battlefield.
After that, he followed the drone to one of the trenches, where Ukrainian soldiers were waiting for him.
The captured Russian looks exhausted and probably injured in the video. The Ukrainian military found him a place in a trench and gave the Russian soldier water.
Other details of the surrender to the Russian invader are currently unknown. However, this is not an isolated case, in particular, due to the Russian tactics of using mobilized soldiers as cannon fodder during assaults and poor treatment in the rear.
A similar episode took place earlier in January of this year in the Zaporizhzhia sector, where soldiers of the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade defeated the positions of the Russian military with a combined artillery and drone attack. Then, the surviving Russian invader also surrendered to the drone and was brought to the Ukrainian soldiers.
However, the Russian military does not always succeed in surrendering even when there is such an opportunity because of their henchmen: the Russians often eliminate their soldiers during such attempts.
One such episode was recorded by a Ukrainian reconnaissance drone during one of the March battles in the forests of Kreminna.
After the Russian group was smashed by mortar fire, a note demanding surrender and a white flag was dropped from a UAV to the two Russian invaders.
The Russian soldiers accepted the offer and went to the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but they were shot in the back and pelted with grenades by their own comrades.
