Russian forces attacked a bus carrying miners with Shahed drones near Ternivka in the Pavlohrad district of Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region.
This was reported by Oleksandr Ganzha, head of the regional military administration.
The drones struck the bus as it was transporting miners home after the end of their work shift.
According to the DTEK energy company, which owns the vehicle, 15 miners were killed in the attack and 7 others were injured.
In addition, according to Mykhailo Volynets, head of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine, the coal mining enterprise in Ternivka itself was hit by four Shahed drones.
“Such an ‘energy truce’ and such negotiations with Muscovite vampires, who deliberately and cynically targeted the people on whom today’s energy sector depends during the most difficult heating season in the country’s history,” Volynets wrote.
Earlier, on January 27, Russian forces struck a passenger train in the Kharkiv region using three Shahed kamikaze drones.
The train operating on the Barvinkove-Lviv-Chop route was attacked.
The strikes were recorded near the locomotive and in a passenger carriage, where a fire broke out as a result of the impact.
Two people were injured and were evacuated from the carriage by the train crew and handed over to medics.
According to local law enforcement, three people were killed.
