On the morning of March 27, a series of explosions occurred in the temporarily occupied Melitopol in Zaporizhzhia region.

The local media and the mayor Ivan Fedorov reported on the situation.

According to Fedorov, as a result of the explosions, a building used by Russian security forces was damaged.

On the air of the telethon, Ivan Fedorov explained that the invaders used premises of educational institutions to place barracks and administrative buildings of structures, in that case it was the so-called “Ministry for State Security”.

According to him, eyewitnesses saw the invaders running out of the building in their underwear.

“Melitopol has now turned into a military base, unfortunately this is true. The enemy often takes cover of the civilian population in the middle of residential areas and places its military equipment and barracks for its soldiers. We have said many times that in the occupied premises of the technical school and the university, both their barracks and the administrative building of their “special service” – “Ministry for State Security” are located. So today, explosions occurred in those two buildings,” Ivan Fedorov said.

The occupying authorities of Melitopol reported that due to “artillery shelling” of the city, the building near the multidisciplinary college on the 50th anniversary of Pravdy avenue was partially destroyed. Several other buildings were also damaged.

It is claimed that four people were injured.
