Russian propagandists came under tank fire of Ukrainian military in Donetsk region

The Armed Forces of Ukraine maintain fire control over the settlement of Pisky, Donetsk region.

One of the Russian propagandists released a video on August 18 from one district of Pisky.

The video features Russian forces trying to hide from Ukrainian tank fire.

“A Ukrainian tank, which came out of the fortifications, shoots through Pisky, works somewhere not far from us, the wall in the basement is shaking,” — says a Russian propagandist about the work of Ukrainian armored vehicles.

The Russian “military correspondent” shot his video on Chistiakov Street, almost on the border between Pisky and Donetsk.

Russia has kept a large enough amount of artillery in Donbas to have an advantage in the number of guns.

The Ukrainian forces do not have such an amount of artillery on their side.

Therefore, the Ukrainian servicemen in Pisky does not always succeed in responding to Russian shelling with counter-battery fire.

On August 16, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, reported that the Ukrainian servicemen continue to be located in Pisky.

“They (Russians) are actively using propaganda. In the occupied territories, people are openly lied to, in particular, about the fact that allegedly Russian troops have already entered Avdiivka, occupied Bakhmut and Pisky… I declare responsibly that this is not true,” Kyrilenko said.

Also, on August 16, the adviser to the head of the Office of the President Oleksii Arestovych stated that the village is partly under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but partly under the control of the Russians.

As previously reported, on August 13, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the taking under full control of the village of Pisky.
