Russian propagandist of Channel One Anna Prokofyeva was killed in the Belgorod region.
Russian propagandists of the Romanov channel reported on this.
According to their information, the incident took place near Demidovka in the Belgorod region, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces are conducting an operation to defend the state border.
The details of her death are currently unknown, and the channel’s officials have not yet released any statement on the matter.
“While carrying out an editorial task, military correspondent of Channel One Anna Prokofyeva was killed,” the propagandists wrote on their channel.
On March 25, 2025, the propagandist last posted a photo on her Telegram channel with the caption: “Somewhere on the border with country 404…” referring to Ukraine.
In addition to Prokofyeva, a group of Russian propagandists was killed a few days ago in the Luhansk region.
According to the investigation, as a result of the shelling of the village of Mykhailivka in the Luhansk region, a journalist from the publication Izvestia and three members of the filming crew from the Zvezda TV channel were killed.
Meanwhile, the Zvezda TV channel reports the deaths of two of its staff members — cameraman Andrei Panov and the crew’s presenter, Alexander Sirkeli.
Also killed, as shown in some footage, was Alexander Fedorchak, a military correspondent for the Izvestia newspaper.
Militarnyi previously reported that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that an operation is underway in the Belgorod region as part of efforts to counter Russian forces.
Speaking during a video conference with the Associated Press, Zelenskyy emphasized that as the enemy amasses troops for new attempts to breach Ukraine’s border, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are taking preemptive measures to prevent Russia from opening a new front line on Ukrainian territory.
