Ukrainian forces ambushed Russian paratroopers and eliminated part of them with armored vehicles in Klishchiyivka, Donetsk region.
The Russian Airborne Forces are denying their losses in this battle.
The Joint Assault Brigade of the National Police of Ukraine “Lyut” said that they took part in this ambush.
“The assault group of the Russian Airborne Forces came under fire from the soldiers of the “Tsunami” Regiment of the “Lyut” Brigade and was defeated,” the soldiers said.
The Russians were moving along the street of a destroyed settlement on an infantry fighting vehicle and BMD-2 when they came across an ambush by Ukrainian forces.
After the armored vehicle was hit, the invaders stopped on the road near the destroyed houses.
According to the video footage, the Ukrainian servicemen were using small arms and firing mortars and automatic grenade launchers at the Russian soldiers.
The Russians tried to retaliate but turned out to be under heavy fire and suffered losses, as can be seen in the released footage.
At the same time, the social media accounts supporting Russian paratroopers are trying to convince their readers that they came out of this battle without losses.
In favor of their version, they released an incomplete video of the battle, which did not show the bodies of Russian paratroopers.
The 83rd Guards Air Assault Brigade of Russia took part in the battle.
“Reconnaissance paratroopers heroically accepted an uneven battle near Klishchiyivka and got out of it without casualties,” Russian media said.
