Eight Russian cruise missiles struck Kryvyi Rih today.
This was announced by Kyrylo Tymoshenko, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office.
According to preliminary information, a missile attack on Kryvyi Rih was probably carried out by an aircraft.
“Russian troops sent the maximum number of their weapons to hydraulic structures. The goal is obvious — an attempt to create an emergency. It does not matter to them whether people will be left without water, or if the city will be under water,” said the official.
He added that now the emergency services are eliminating the aftermath of missile strikes, the military administration is coordinating the work in the area.
There were no civilian casualties.
Local residents report that after missile attacks on the Kryvyi Rih, the water level in the Ingulets River rises sharply.
People buy drinking water in the markets, since it hardly flows from under the taps. In some areas of the city, water and communication disappeared.
The press service of the Operational Group “Kakhovka” reported that Russian troops used Kh-101 missiles.
“17.01-17.06 14.09.22 missile strike on the city of Kryvyi Rih, 3 cruise missiles presumably from Tu-95MS (Kh-101): 3 cruise missiles, hit the western outskirts of Kryvyi Rih,” the report said.
Russian missile strikes on Kryvyi Rih, as well as Russian attempts to sow panic and create an emergency situation, will not break Ukraine, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“The terrorist-state continues to fight against civilians. This time it’s missile strikes on hydraulic structures and an attempt to flood Kryvyi Rih. All the invaders can do is to sow panic, create an emergency, and try to leave people without lights, heat, water, and food. Can it break us? By no means. Will they get a fair response and retribution? “Undoubtedly, yes,” the President emphasized.
