A Russian Mi-8МТV-5 helicopter made an emergency landing on the М3 highway near the Sevsky district of the Bryansk region.
The @operativnoZSU Telegram channel reported this.
Information on the helicopter’s emergency landing was confirmed by the local governor, Bogomaz. According to him, the helicopter hit power lines.
The helicopter visually suffered damage to the front landing gear and the tail rotor.
The condition of the crew members is not reported, but deaths during such a landing are unlikely.
The helicopter would need serious repairs due to damage and would not be able to perform combat missions for a long time.
Repairs should include checking the fuselage for cracks, repairing and checking the hydraulics, repairing the tail girder, and installing the steering screw and transmission.
Militarnyi recently reported that a Mi-8MTV military helicopter of the Kyrgyz Air Force crashed on the outskirts of Bishkek.
As a result of the Mi-8MTV crash, 11 people were injured, including one soldier who was killed, and the rest were in medical facilities.
The relevant authorities are conducting operational and investigative measures in this regard.
Certain officials of the Air Defense Forces have also been temporarily dismissed from their positions to objectively conduct investigative measures.
