Several landing ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet were spotted in the Sea of Azov.
Analysts of the Crimean Wind Telegram channel shared that satellite images allowed to spot those ships.
The images captured a landing ship 55 kilometers southeast of occupied Berdiansk.
Another landing ship, and probably a small anti-submarine ship, was in the southern Sea of Azov in Temryuk Bay, 4 km from the coast.
The third landing ship and the Buyan-M small missile ship (Kalibr missile carrier) were located 10 km east of the entrance to the Kerch Strait.
The Ukrainian Navy said that Russia has eight ships in the Sea of Azov, three of which are Kalibr cruise missile carriers with a total volley of up to 24 missiles.
According to the Ukrainian Navy, the Russians have transferred some of the patrolling tasks in the Black Sea from surface ships to submarines.
In Sevastopol, in Inkerman Bay, three patrol corvettes of Project 22460 of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation are stationed at the same berth.
The Russian command presumably decided to keep warships in the Sea of Azov to protect them from Ukrainian naval drones.
To reach the Sea of Azov, one must cross the Kerch Bridge, which is being defended by various forces.
In May, the Russian invaders started adding barriers around the Kerch bridge to protect it from Ukrainian naval drones. Sections of barge-made barriers are being installed.
However, not all of Russia’s landing ships are stationed in the Sea of Azov. Recently, one of the landing ships withdrawn from Novorossiysk arrived in occupied Sevastopol.
