An Il-38 anti-submarine warfare aircraft of the Russian Navy violated Japanese airspace three times.

The Ministry of Defense of Japan reported on this.

A Russian Il-38 reportedly violated Japanese airspace north of Rebun Island, Hokkaido Prefecture.

The first airspace crossing took place around 1:03-1:04 p.m., the second around 3:31 p.m., and the third around 3:42-3:43 p.m.

In response, the Japan Air Self-Defense Force took measures: in particular, they launched fighters from the Northern Air District of the Air Self-Defense Force, as well as issued notifications and warnings.

On August 28, Militarnyi reported that a manned aircraft of the Chinese Air Force had violated Japanese airspace for the first time in history. The violation of airspace by the Y-9Z electronic reconnaissance aircraft took place near the Danjo Islands, Nagasaki Prefecture.

The aircraft entered Japanese airspace for two minutes, after which it left and continued to conduct reconnaissance activities in the exclusive economic zone of Japan.

Russian aircraft intruders

On September 20 and 21, six Russian planes were identified over the Baltic Sea region with their transponders turned off.

It is reported that in addition to the transponder having been turned off, the Russian planes had not had flight plan.

German Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets deployed in Latvia as part of the Baltic Air Policing mission were flying to intercept and escort Russian aircraft.

As previously reported, Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft of the Italian and German Air Forces are deployed in the Baltic States.

It is known that the Italians are stationed in Lithuania at an air base near the town of Šiauliai, and the Germans are stationed in Latvia near the town of Lielvārde.
