Russia has reported a new drone attack on the Ilsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar Krai.
Such statements appeared in Russian social networks and propaganda publications.
It is announced that on the morning of Friday, May 5, an explosion rang out in the area of the Russian enterprise, after which a fire started on the territory of the oil refinery.
Eyewitnesses posted a video of the fire and a plume of smoke rising up. According to one of the eyewitnesses, the explosion happened around 8:30 a.m. local time.
Russian media also covered the incident. They traditionally blame Ukraine for the attack.
“A few minutes ago, the refinery was attacked by a Ukrainian drone. It flew to one of the establishments, causing a fire,” Russian propagandists claim.
The Russians write that the 5th arrangement of the Ilsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar Krai was allegedly hit by a drone.
It is stated that the air cooler of the compressor station caught fire. The fire spread to an area of 60 square meters. Employees of the enterprise were evacuated.
As previously reported, on the night of May 4, a fire broke out at this Russian oil refinery.
According to Russian propaganda media, the fire broke out following a drone attack.
The fire at the Ilsky oil refinery in the Siversky district spread to an area of 400 square meters. 167 people and 37 units of special equipment were involved in extinguishing it.
The Ilsky oil refinery is located in the Krasnodar Krai. The enterprise carries out activities of reception, storage, and processing of hydrocarbon raw materials, as well as shipment of petroleum products by road and rail transport.
