Russian electronic warfare systems Krasukha-2 and Krasukha-4 have been spotted in service with the Serbian military, Defence Blog reported.
The systems were first displayed at a parade in Belgrade, marking the first official confirmation that they were supplied from Russia to Serbia.
Previously, they had not been publicly demonstrated.
Russian media had previously mentioned the presence of Krasukha-2 and Krasukha-4 in Serbia.
The Russian TASS news agency, for example, reported on November 6, 2022, on Serbia’s order for these systems, along with the Repellent electronic warfare system.
Exact delivery dates, quantities, and costs remain unknown. The transport route is also unclear, and third countries may have been involved.
In January, it was reported that Serbia had canceled several contracts with the Russian defense industry due to delivery difficulties.
Some contracts were canceled, while others were postponed in the hope that the situation would normalize and allow deliveries.
It is unclear whether Russia has supplied the ordered Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun systems, for which Serbia announced an additional purchase in 2021.
Russian deliveries of some Kornet anti-tank missile systems also appear to have been delayed.
The successful transfer of a strategic system like Krasukha, however, suggests that Russia may still attempt to deliver other contracted weapons to Serbia.
