ATACMS missiles hit the invaders, who set up a base in the former Aviation School in Luhansk.
The Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Artem Lysohor, stated that about a dozen explosions occured.
After these explosions, the former Luhansk Aviation School, which the Russians use as a base for various tasks, caught fire.
Artem Lysohor added that the Russian army also uses this area of the city for the storage and repair of military equipment.
“They store and repair armored vehicles there. By the way, the helipad is also used for its intended purpose,” said Artem Lysohor.
It is worth noting that this is an industrial area of the city. Here, along the railway tracks, are located dozens of hangars and warehouses that are not used for their intended purpose.
The occupation authorities reported that ATACMS long-range missiles were used for strikes.
According to the invaders, allegedly ATACMS missiles were shot down by air defense systems.
Nevertheless, a fire in the area of the Luhansk Aviation School indicates a successful defeat of the Russian base.
Previously, ATACMS missiles with a range of 165 km were transferred to Ukraine, now, the United States is transferring missiles to Ukraine that can hit 300 km.
Before the war, the Luhansk Higher Military Aviation School was used to train pilots of the USSR and then Ukraine.
Recently AFU struck ATACMS ballistic missiles on the Russian S-300 anti-aircraft system in the Donetsk region.
