Russian Aviation Drops Record 328 Guided Bombs in a Day

Over the February 27, Russian forces dropped 328 guided aerial bombs, marking the highest daily total since October 17, 2025.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the figure in its update as of 8:00 a.m. on February 28.

The increase reflects intensified Russian air activity against Ukrainian defensive positions and frontline settlements.

On October 17, 268 such munitions were dropped in a single day on Ukrainian positions and surrounding areas.

The primary carrier of the guided bombs is the Su-34 frontline bomber, which launches them from standoff distances beyond the range of Ukrainian air defense systems.

Russian aviation also used a record number of aerial bombs in January 2026, deploying 5,717 munitions.

According to available data, this represents a 26% increase compared with December 2025.
