In the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region, explosions occurred at the ammunition depot of the Russian invaders.
The event took place late in the evening on Friday, July 7.
Eyewitnesses posted videos from the scene on social networks and local communities.
According to various Telegram channels, the explosions and subsequent fire occurred at a Russian military facility in the area of the cities of Sukhodilsk and Sorokine (formerly Krasnodon) near the border with Russia.
The published videos featuring a column of smoke rises into the sky, and explosions similar to the detonation of ammunition can be heard.
A powerful fire also broke out at the site of the explosion, which could be seen from afar.
It is worth noting that this is a deep rear for the Russian invaders. The ammunition depot is located southeast of Luhansk and near the border with the Russian Federation.
The distance from the nearest point of the front in Donbas to this Russian depot is about 135 kilometers.
According to the videos of eyewitnesses, the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to destroy a very large contingent of Russian invasion forces in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region.
As previously reported, around 9:30 p.m. on the night of July 4, Russian depots exploded in the Russian-occupied city of Makiivka, Donetsk region. The invaders claim the cause of the fire to be a missile attack by Ukrainian HIMARS systems.
According to eyewitnesses, the shock wave from the detonation passed through the entire city and reached neighboring Donetsk. Many houses have broken windows.
Attacks on Russian depots and supply bases are an important component of Ukrainian operations to liberate temporarily occupied territories and settlements in the east and south of the country from the invaders.
