In Russia, there are more and more cases of donors being used to support the aviation fleet, including Ka-52 attack helicopters.
The photo evidence of this was published online.
One of the published photos of the Ka-52 attack helicopter captures the use of some elements from other helicopters.
The presence of a camouflaged rudder element indicates that it was used from a donor. This is also confirmed by the individual part code.
A closer look at some of the Ka-52 helicopters reveals the use of elements with different individual codes.
Due to the high intensity of the use of helicopters of this type, the Russian Federation is trying in all ways to maintain them in a flying and combat-ready state.
The high percentage of donor parts used indicates the inability of the Russian aviation industry to repair aircraft in a timely manner.
Additionally, due to the large loss of Ka-52 helicopters, the intensity of use per board and the operational load have increased due to the lack of replacement.
The cockpit canopy, rudders, and vertical stabilizers can be spotted in the available photos among the elements that have been replaced.
Militarnyi previously reported that Russian aviation sharply reduced the use of guided bombs (KABs) in the south after the Ukrainian air defense shot down enemy Su-34.
The sharp decline in the use of Russian aircraft to strike Ukraine in the south comes after the Ukrainian military claimed on Friday, December 22, that its air defense had shot down three Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers at once.
According to Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ihnat, the Russians were “completely arrogant” and wanted to fly closer to strike with guided aerial bombs to penetrate the Ukrainian defense.
