The Russian occupiers’ Tor anti-aircraft missile system was damaged by an anti-tank mine or a landmine.
The Militarnyi informs about it.
Today, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine showed an image of what the Russian damaged tactical mobile anti-aircraft missile system looks like.
The scene and whether this vehicle became a trophy of the Ukrainian military is currently unknown.
It is also unknown about a specific modification of this mobile anti-aircraft missile system.
Although the Armed Forces claim that it is a Tor-M1 combat vehicle.
“Russia’s Tor M1 surface-to-air missile system could not get where it had – some holes in the road. Who could do that? Ukrainian sappers are shyly silent… ” the statement said.
As reported earlier, in early March, soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine seized several anti-aircraft missile systems and armored vehicles in the form of several MTLBs and a tank of the Russian army.
Another Russian Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile system burned down in Kyiv region. The anti-aircraft complex was set on fire while the engine was running.
The fate of the Russian crew is not reported.
The Tor is an all-weather low to medium altitude, short-range surface-to-air missile system designed for destroying airplanes, helicopters, cruise missiles, precision guided munitions, unmanned aerial vehicles and short-range ballistic threats.
The main difference of the new modification Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile system is the ability to fire on the move without stopping – to ensure the protection of equipment on the march.
