Russia’s recognition of so-called “L/DPR” includes the possibility to “officially” deploy troops to Donbas

After the ratification of the agreements with the so-called “Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics”, the Russian regular army troops will protect their “borders”.

The Militarnyi reports with reference to the published complete document of the “decree” of Russia with the so-called “L/DPR.”

On February 22, the State Duma of the Russian Federation should ratify agreements on “friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance” with the so-called “L/DPR.”

It is noted that Russia concludes agreements with the so-called “L/DPR” for a period of 10 years with automatic extension for five-year periods.

In addition, this “documents” creates a legal basis for the the parties to mutually use military infrastructure and military bases.

Also jointly protect the “borders” and consult in case of a security threat to one of them.

According to the “document”, the Russian Federation and their unofficial occupation forces in Donbas “will jointly take all available measures to eliminate the threat to peace, breach of peace, and to prevent acts of aggression against them.”

In addition, Russia undertakes to take measures to “maintain the financial and banking system” of “L/DPR” due to the fact that Russian rubles will be used as a means of payment there.

In addition, the parties undertake to mutually recognize the documents and allow the possibility of dual “citizenship.”

In general, the “document” includes:

• joint “defense”;
• joint “border controls of the Donbass republics”;
• the right of “parties” to use “military infrastructure and military bases on the territory” of each other;
• recognition of documents issued by each other’s “state bodies”;
• Russia will take measures to support the “financial and banking systems” of the so-called “DPR and LPR,” based on the fact that the means of payment in the occupied territories is the Russian ruble;
• the agreements are concluded for a period of 10 years.

As reported, on February 21, the president of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed decrees to “recognize” the so-called “L/DPR.”

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky convened a meeting of of the UN Security Council, the OSCE and the “Normandy Four” emergency summit over Putin’s decision to “recognize” illegal armed groups.
