On the night of May 3, an airfield in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation was attacked.
Russian Telegram channels reported this.
It is noted that five UAVs were used for the attack, two of them were allegedly destroyed with small arms, and two more exploded on the territory of the airfield. Another drone was not found.
The incident probably happened at the Seshcha air base.
The Russians also acknowledge the damage to the An-124, which is no longer in service.
Previously, Yuriy Ihnat, Ukrainian Air Force spokesman, reported on the broadcast of the United News (Ukrainian: «Yedyni novyny») telethon that this was the airfield from where the invaders were launching Shahed drones.
This night, the Russians again attacked the territory of Ukraine with Shahed 131/136 drones.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the kamikaze drones were launched from the territory of the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation, but the airfield was not specified. Launches also took place from the south – from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov.
In total, the Russians launched 26 UAVs. The Ukrainian Air Force managed to destroy 21 Shahed 131/136.
“Anti-aircraft missile weapons, aviation, and mobile fire groups were deployed in the areas of responsibility of the Air Commands “Center”, “East”, and “South,” the statement says.
