The Russian Kalashnikov Concern announced that it has completed a state contract to supply Vikhr-1 high-precision guided missiles as part of its 2025 commitments.
The announcement was made on the company’s official Telegram channel.
According to the enterprise, its specialists have performed a major upgrade of the missile over the past two years, based on its combat use during Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.
Kalashnikov did not specify what improvements were made.
Representatives also noted that Russia has secured a large export contract for the missile, though no details have been disclosed.
The main carriers of the Vikhr-1 are Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopters, which are used to destroy fortifications, strongholds, and armored vehicles.
The missile is equipped with a laser guidance system. It has a range of up to 10 km and a penetration capability of up to 800 mm, allowing it to effectively engage modern armored targets.
