Military industry of Russia launches Malva and Koalitsiya-SV artillery systems’ production.
First Deputy General Director of Rostec Corporation, Vladimir Artyakov, said that they began mass production of 152mm self-propelled artillery systems before the tests were completed.
“Serial production, as well as the production of a transport and loading machine, has already been deployed,” said Vladimir Artyakov.
He specified that the test of the 2S35 self-propelled artillery gun from the Koalitsiya-SV system is planned to be completed this year.
2S35 Koalitsiya-SV ACS with a caliber of 152 mm is based on the platform of the Т-90 tank.
Targeting and maintenance of weapons is fully automated, the ACS crew consists of three people versus five in other self-propelled guns.
The manufacturer claims that dur to the autoloader of the 2S35 Koalitsiya-SV has a rate of fire of up to 16 shots per minute.
“Rostec” also stated that the Russian Malva 152mm wheeled self-propelled artillery will begin to arrive at the troops in the coming months.
The 2S43 Malva has already passed state testing in Russia. Its mass production is currently underway.
The deputy general director of the corporation noted that the hallmarks of this howitzer are high mobility due to the wheeled chassis.
Mobility is provided by an all-terrain chassis BAZ-6010-027 with a wheel arrangement 8×8.
The open installation of the howitzer without additional armor protection and the turret made it possible to facilitate the ACS. With an ammunition of 30 rounds, its weight is 32 tons. This is a quarter lighter than the tracked Msta-S ACS with the same gun.
