Russia has deployed the Kasta-2E2 radar station near the border with the Kharkiv region to control airspace.

In social networks, a video from Belgorod region was published on which the Kasta-2E2 radar station was spotted.
The radar system was located near the village of Nova Nelydivka in the Belgorod district.
Approximately 11 kilometers from the border of Ukraine a three-coordinate duty radar Kasta-2E2 was spotted, brought into combat condition.
Judging by the direction of the radar, the main attention of the Russian servicemen is paid to the airfields near Kharkiv.
Kasta-2E2 (NATO: Flat Face E) is a Russian mobile three-coordinate, all-round field of view, decimetre-band radar.
It is designed to control airspace, determine the coordinates and identify air targets, including those at extremely low altitudes, their route characteristics and issuing their coordinates and movement parameters to air defense control systems, Air Force and military air defense.
It is stated that the range of the radar station is up to 150 kilometers.
The distance from the position of the Russian radar to the city of Kharkiv is 52 kilometers.
Recall that in 2021, in the Donetsk region, an OSCE drone had identified the Russian 51U6 Kasta-2E1 target acquisition radar.
An OSCE UAV observed signs of Russian military presence near the village Rozivka, 37 km northeast of Donetsk. Radar 51U6 Kasta-2E1 – designed to monitor the airspace, determine the coordinates and affiliation of aircraft.
