Russia has military plans against Estonia, however, Tallinn will continue providing military assistance to Ukraine.
Militarnyi informs about this.
Russia is threatening Estonia and has military plans against the country, however, Tallinn will continue providing military assistance to Ukraine, Ukrinform reports, citing a statement by Kaimo Kuusk, the Estonian Ambassador to Ukraine on the air of the channel Ukraine 24.
According to the Ambassador, Ukraine is opposing the Russian invasion and is basically defending the Baltic states on its soil.
The Estonian diplomat emphasized that his country, observing the common democratic values, as well as based on reasons of its own security, will never stop helping Ukraine.
“We made a decision that we will never leave you alone. We will also not leave other friends who are also falling victims to aggression. We are very pragmatic, in fact. We are small, but we want to say that we are compact. We know that our defense, our protection starts from Donbas,” the Ambassador said.
Kaimo Kuusk added that his country is ready to share food and weapons “with our friends who are actually protecting us.”
“We know that Russia has military plans against us. They have military training planned that they would want to conduct. So we don’t have to wait. We are providing Ukraine with weapons, and every Javelin that hits a Russian tank makes the threat against us smaller,” said the Ambassador.
Previously, the Republic of Estonia had shipped a batch of lethal weapons, including 122-mm howitzers, to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In particular, as far as lethal weapons go, Estonia has donated anti-tank mines and recoilless anti-tank guns to Ukraine.
Also, the infantry weapons, disposable grenade launchers, hand grenades, and anti-tank missiles compatible with the Ukrainian lethal weapons, most probably Javelin systems, have been transferred.
