Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reports that Russia is increasing its military presence in Belarus.

The relevant statement was made by the Defense Intelligence on Telegram.

It is noted that Russians are planning to increase the operational and tactical aviation numbers within the territory of Belarus.

In addition, the leadership of the Gomel region institutions and organizations were warned of the possible return of Russian military units.

“The formal reason is to carry out joint air patrol missions within the joint combat training center of aviation and anti-aircraft defense units. For this purpose, 10 aircrafts are expected to fly in to the Baranovichi airfield,” the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reported.

In addition, according to the Ukrainian intelligence, mobilization exercises have started in Gomel Region on June 22, 2022, and will last until July 1.

The purpose of the military exercise is to check the readiness of the military commissariats to carry out their assigned tasks. They will work on replenishing military enlistment offices and calling up conscripts.

Previously, the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reported that Russians are preparing provocation in the city of in Mozyr. The main purpose of these actions would be drawing Lukashenko into the war against Ukraine.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, attacks on infrastructure and civilian objects are possible.
