The Russian military command had deployed the T-62M and T-62MV tanks to the border with Ukraine.
The video featuring these tanks was released on social media.
Specifically, the InformNapalm international volunteer community captured an echelon of these tanks.
According to the community’s volunteers, the train was spotted in Kamyansk-Shakhtinsk, Rostov region.
“These tanks will complete the reserve tank regiment on the basis of the 150th Rifle Division of the 8th Guards Combined Arms Army,” the statement reads.
On May 23, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the enemy was forced to remove T-62 tanks from storage as a result of losses during hostilities.
The tanks are used to equip the reserve battalion tactical groups that are being set up to be sent to Ukraine.
A video featuring the Russian trucks carrying the T-62 tanks marked with the Latin letter “Z” was also released.
In 1962, this tank was adopted by the Soviet Army denoted T-62A “Object 165”. The upgraded version of the T-62 tank with the Sheksna guided weapons system was denoted the T-62M.
The upgraded version of the T-62M tank that has dynamic hinged protection and is without additional armored protection of the tower and hull was denoted T-62MV.
